Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions.

Our convalescent scheme provides accommodation in two hotels in Blackpool for around 40 people each year. The trust covers all accommodation expenses.

All the Accommodation cost but not extras such as Telephone calls ,newspapers Alcoholic drinks or meals for relatives or friends

Everyone who has worked in the Cotton Textile Industry with the last 40 years

The trust also provides a one off grant to cover the cost of the doctors certification letter / note plus a contribution towards travel expenses to and from the hotel

The trust meets four times a year to approve grants.

The applicant needs to provide a Wage Slip, Pension Statement, or a letter from their employer/HMRC for their work history. Applicants need to have worked in the cotton industry during the last 40 years.

 
 

Yes, a Doctor needs to confirm your need for convalescence and your ability to travel to and attend your convalescence without the need of dedicated nursing care.
